Win a Trip to Paris Raffle: Terms & Conditions
The Monadnock Waldorf School or its designated representative will conduct the raffle drawing at the Winter Crafts Fair on December 1st, 2018. The winner does not need to be present to win.
The person who purchased the selected raffle ticket (the “winner”) will be notified by phone and/or email as provided on the ticket stub no later than Monday, December 3rd.
The winner is entitled to a 1-week stay in the donated apartment in Paris during the 2019 calendar year. The dates are to be coordinated with the apartment-owner.
The winner is also entitled to two round-trip airline tickets to Paris from any major airport, not to exceed a total cost of $1,600. The tickets will be purchased by Monadnock Waldorf School in coordination with the winner. Upgrades in air travel may be made at the winner’s sole expense. The prize does not include any additional travel expenses.
The winner must be at least 21 years of age. The Winner may be required to provide proof of age acceptable to Monadnock Waldorf School.
A written request must be received by Monadnock Waldorf School or its designated representative if the winner wants to transfer the prize to another eligible adult.
Prior to accepting the prize, the winner may be required to provide a clear and readable copy of their license or passport and social security number, if required.
Monadnock Waldorf School is not liable for any loss, injury, death, accident, theft, illness, or other misfortune of any nature whatsoever incurred during this trip or resulting from it. By accepting airline tickets or any other portion of the prize, the winner releases Monadnock Waldorf School, its employees, trustees, agents, and attorneys from any and all obligations to the winner and any and all claims or causes of action that may exist against Monadnock Waldorf School, known or unknown, as well as any such obligations, claims, or causes of action arising from the winner’s acceptance of the prize. Monadnock Waldorf School makes no warranty whatsoever express or implied, with respect to the prize.
The IRS takes the position that no portion of the ticket price will qualify as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.
Net proceeds will be applied to maintaining a private educational organization utilizing the Waldorf philosophy offered for the public benefit.
Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100 and may be purchased by cash, check, money order, or by credit card. Each ticket must list the purchaser’s telephone number and address.
Raffle tickets may not be deposited in the federal postal service; doing so is a violation of federal law and may lead to penalties.
