Location: Monadnock Waldorf School has two lovely campuses.

Our Nursery Kindergarten is located at 424 Old Walpole Road in Keene, NH. This is where our Parent Child and Nursery Kindergarten classes meet. With its beautiful setting on 12 acres of fields, forests and streams, it is the perfect place for children to experience the wonder and magic of Waldorf education. We have four beautiful classrooms all with spectacular views of the Ashuelot River Valley. Outside we have wonderful play areas, vegetable and flower gardens, chickens, a sledding hill, trails through the woods, two streams, and endless opportunities for children to enjoy the natural world.

Finding your way to our Nursery Kindergarten:

From Central Square in downtown Keene take Court St. towards the Northwest. After two miles Court St. becomes Old Walpole Road at the traffic light at the intersection with 12A. Follow Old Walpole Road for 2.6 miles. The entrance to the school building will be on your left.

 

Our Elementary School is located at 98 South Lincoln Street in Keene, NH. The school is located in a residential neighborhood on the east side of Keene, approximately one half mile from downtown. Many of our families live in the neighborhood and their students walk to school. Our large three story brick building was constructed in 1900 and has served as a school ever since. It was a public school until 1982 and was known as the Lincoln School. Monadnock Waldorf School leased the building from the school district in 1982 and purchased the building in 1986. In 2001 a five thousand square foot addition was added that houses an assembly room with seating for 200, as well as a library, offices, a teachers' room with a kitchen and handicap accessible bathrooms.
