Safe Routes to School

MWS has long encouraged walking and biking to school and recently we have been approved by the Monadnock Regional technical Advisory Committee for a Safe Routes to School start-up grant of $5000! This first approval is an encouraging step in the application process.
Safe Routes to school encourages walking and biking, encourages communities to develop sidewalks and bike paths, encourages speed reduction in school zones, and educates people of all ages about pedestrian and bike safety. We are pleased to be part of the program.
